The open Phoenix Contact 32A Type 2 charging cable is designed for charging in mode 3, so it is suitable for connection and charging from all private and public AC stations. The connector has an ergonomic shape, which ensures easy and comfortable handling and connection. When the cable is connected, it is protected against the ingress of particles and water. The protective cover has a degree of protection IP54 and protects against ingress of dust.

The connector of the charging cable is made of solid thermoplastic, which is non-flammable and resistant to scratches, pressure and shocks. The outer sheath of the cable is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPE-U), whose significant properties include flexibility, long life and resistance to scratches and wear. Thanks to high-quality materials, the cable lasts more than 10,000 connection cycles.

Thanks to the IEC 62196 communication protocol, the cable enables efficient communication between the on-board charger and the charging station.

The cable has only one connector (type 2) and is intended to be firmly attached to the charging station! Only a trained electrician should do this work.

No. Based on what I found the Kia Optima PHEV doesn't embed a 22kW capable charger. Sources: https://ev-database.uk/car/1058/Kia-Optima-Plug-in-Hybrid https://evbox.com/electric-cars/kia/kia-optima-phev

Hello, thank you for your answer. Yes, you right, here will not be used maximum potencial of the 3-phase cable, because Kia Optima PHEV support only 1-phase 3,3kW AC charging. Anyway keep 3-phase cable to future, when most new electric cars will have more powerful chargers, can be very usefull.

Good morning. I have a doubt. It is worth buying a mennekes 32a 22w three-phase cable for this model. Could it be faster than with a 32nd single-phase 7.2w? Thank you.

Hello, I apologise for delayed answer. In case of charging Kia Optima PHEV, this 3-phase cable will not be faster then 1-phase, because AC charging is always limited by on onboarch charger of your electric car. Kia Optima PHEV support only 1-phase 3,3kW charging. Anyway this cable is opened, so it means that has only one connector, and can be use only for installation to charging station, not as a connecting charging cable for direct use. Thank you for understanding.
